Bird-a-thon, Mass Audubon's annual fundraiser where teams of birders spend 24 hours trying to spot the most species in Massachusetts, took place May 11-12, 2012.
Don and Jerry loved their Bird-a-thon t-shirts, chatted about birding in general, questioned if a bat is a bird (it's not!), and even contemplated joining a team. Maybe next year! By the way the Sox won 6 - 4.
