East Africa 2010
Early November 2010, I joined 16 travelers from around the world and Mass Audubon naturalist and tour leader Chris Leahy for a very special journey to East Africa. Despite my many travels, I had never been to Kenya or Tanzania. Every Mass Audubon tour leader says the same thing: “If you can visit Africa only once, then spend time in East Africa…the magic of Kenya and Tanzania are unequalled." After visiting a great diversity of landscapes and seeing a matchless abundance of large mammals and arguably the best birding in the world, I stand behind that sentiment fully. Here, is just a snapshot of the trip. - Karen ONeill, Director of Mass Audubon Travel
